
Meet The Management Team


Executive Director
Kevin Porter
Kevin began his work with Community Inclusions June of 2001, June 11th to be exact.
Prior to this Kevin was a Youth Employment Counselor for a couple of years and prior to that he worked with youth aged 18-30 with a program called Youth Opportunities that began in the fall of 1998. Prior to this Kevin worked in a number of roles, mainly managerial.
Kevin graduated from UPEI back in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts, with a Major in Psychology. In 1998 he became a Certified Life Skills Coach through Holland College,1998. He also has a number of business related courses. Completing the Business Management Program (for university and college grads) through the former Western Development Corporation in 1994.
Kevin has always enjoyed working with and for people and being in leadership roles while doing this.

Human Resource Coordinator
Rushell MacDonald
Rushell began her career in Support Services in Health before completing her Medical Secretary, Ward Clerk & Health Unit Coordinator certification in 2010. She then worked as part of Administrative Health Care, with a focus on Scheduling and Payroll. In 2017, Rushell completed her Human Resource Management course.
Wanting to get back to helping in the nonprofit area, she took work with an NGO for 3 years as part of the Payroll/Human Resource support team before coming to join us here at Community Inclusions as our HR Coordinator.
Rushell and her husband, Daryl, are proud parents to two adult boys and a handsome grandson. Rushell loves gardening and curling. Rushell has also done some website design in her spare time.

Office Manager - Finance
Sally Harris
Sally joined the Community Inclusions management team in November of 2023. Sally has several years working in the administrative and bookkeeping field. She has previously worked as an Office Manager and Accounting Technician in the past.
Sally brings with her experience and dedication to her job. When not in the office, Sally can be found snowshoeing, walking, at the gym, spending time with friends, checking out deals at yard sales or gathering sea glass along the beach with her 2 grandchildren.
Sally is looking forward to continuing to learn and grow with us here at Community Inclusions Ltd.

Administrative Clerk
Kayl Porter
Kayl Porter joined Community Inclusions as part of a Graduate mentorship program January 2024. Since that time he has enjoyed learning many aspects of the administrative clerk position. We are pleased to have Kayl join us a part of the Community Inclusions team.

Residential Service Manager
Nancy Arsenault
Nancy has been with the organization since 1993 when she first began as a summer student.
Over the course of 5 years, Nancy grew within the organization, from student, to casual and then moving into a part time position.
When Community Inclusions was formed in 1998, she remained on the casual list until she obtained her permanent position in February of 1999 at the Tignish Group Home. In 2010, Nancy accepted a position at the Alberton House and was hired to prepare the home for the residents to move in. This was a project that Nancy took great pride in.
Nancy has been a certified Mandt Instructor for Community Inclusions since 2008. In 2015 Nancy filled in for a year as the Residential Coordinator.
Three years later, she stepped into the Residential Coordinator role permanently for Community Inclusions which she has been enjoying to the fullest. Her choice of career has given her much joy and she looks forward to working with all my current clients and new ones as she continues to grow her career.

Residential Support Manager I - Tignish Workshop
Deanna Keough
Deanna began her career in 1992 with West Prince Residential services as a one/one support worker at the Tignish Group Home which led into permanent till 1998.
In 1998, when Community Inclusions was formed, she moved to the Tignish Training Centre and worked as a Community Support worker until 2004.
In 2004 Deanna took a Temporary Site Managers position at the workshop which lead into permanent and this is where she remains today.
Deanna enjoys her work as she loves that it's like coming to a new job everyday and being able to support our clients and see the growth in them over the years. She says it’s a very rewarding job.
Most recently, Deanna has temporarily moved into the Residential Support Manager role where she continues to learn and assist the Residential Coordinator.
Her future goal is to continue to educate herself that will benefit her work skills.

Site Manager - Maple House Bakery & Café
Stacie Gallant
Stacie is a self taught baker who joined the team in 2017 before being promoted to Site Manager of the Maple House Bakery & Café in 2019.
She enjoys making the daily bread & rolls and sharing her experiences and supporting the clients to develop their skills and friendship.
When not working you will find Stacie at the rink cheering on her family, spending time with friends and attending yard sales!!!
Stacie currently resides in Bloomfield with her husband of 25 years, Steven. Together they have 4 grown children and one fabulous grandson <3 .

Community Support Manager II
Heidi Chaisson
Heidi joined Community Inclusions in the spring of 2012 as a casual support worker. Over the years she has had the opportunity to work in many different roles with the organization from temporary positions in the day services, Employment unit and within our group homes. This lead her to getting a fulltime position in the fall of 2018.
Heidi has enjoyed the many opportunities that have been offered to her through working at Community Inclusions. "These opportunities have allowed me to continue to learn and grow as a professional in the Human Services field."
In October of 2023, Heidi has stepped into the Site Manager position at Maple House Centre and will be working along side the manager of the Bakery & Café. "I am very thankful for this opportunity and I look forward to the new challenges ahead. "
We are happy to have Heidi join the management team.

Employment Service Manager
Natalie Horne-Gallant
Natalie began her career in October of 2001, at the Maple House division of Community Inclusions. She went on to work as an interim site manager at Maple House before completing two pre-employment pilot projects. The need developed in Employment Services to add the second position.
Natalie began the Assistant Employment Counselor position in 2005. In the Spring of 2007, she accepted the position as the Employment Counselor.
If you were to ask her what her greatest accomplishments have been she would likely say helping others gain self- confidence to reach their goals. Her future plans are to continue to develop and grow the Employment Services Program.

Employment Service Assistant
Talia Adams
Talia started her career in the Human services field in 2016 after receiving her Family and Community Services Diploma from Oulton College in 2015. She has experience in both residential and day services. Talia accepted the Employment Counsellor Assistant position at Community Inclusions in March 2020.
Talia enjoys working as the Assistant Employment Counsellor because every day is different, she is always learning something new, and meeting so many great people within the community. Talia enjoys how friendly all of the clients at Community Inclusions are, they can always put a smile on her face.
Talia's plans for the future are to continue to grow the Employment Services at Community Inclusions and to further her knowledge within the Human Services field.
Talia is from Summerside but currently resides in Tignish. Talia is kept busy outside of work by her young children.

Community Support Manager I
Melissa Arsenault
Melissa Arsenault joined Community Inclusions in June of 2011 as a casual employee and then moved into a 60% position at one of our residential homes.
From 2014 to 2020, Melissa worked as a Community Support worker at the Maple House Centre. She then moved to the Tignish Workshop in 2021 where she continued her work as a community support worker.
In September of 2023, Melissa moved into the role as the Community Support Manager I at the Tignish Workshop.
When asked what she enjoys the most about working at Community Inclusions, Melissa's response was, "I enjoy going to work every day as it doesn’t feel like work when it’s something you love and enjoy. Community Inclusions is built up of a great team of people . I have worked both residential and vocational and I can honestly can say I have loved working both jobs . It is one of the most rewarding careers!"
